EVE Energy & SPIC Yunnan International's 500MW/1000MWh Shared Energy Storage Project in Luliang County, Qujing City Achieves First-Phase Grid Connection

May 07,2025

On April 29, 2025, the first phase of the 500MW/1000MWh shared energy storage project in Luliang County, Qujing City was successfully grid-connected and operational. Co-developed by EVE Energy and SPIC Yunnan International Power Investment Co., Ltd., this landmark project demonstrates how new energy technologies can drive high-quality grid development and accelerate regional green transformation.

Developed and operated by SPIC Yunnan International's subsidiary Luliang Dianneng Power Co., Ltd., the project features a total capacity of 500MW/1000MWh.

The completed first phase delivers 200MW/400MWh capacity with a 20-year design lifespan. EVE Energy supplied 40 sets of 5MW/10MWh energy storage units, achieving full installation and commissioning within one week of equipment arrival – showcasing exceptional delivery efficiency.

As Qujing's first shared energy storage facility, the station will optimize regional power allocation through peak-valley electricity management, enhancing grid stability while addressing renewable energy consumption challenges. This successful collaboration elevates the partnership between EVE Energy and SPIC Yunnan International to new heights.

Looking ahead, EVE Energy remains committed to advancing low-carbon energy solutions through cutting-edge storage technologies and efficient project execution, jointly contributing to Qujing's sustainable development and China's dual-carbon goals.
